Problem-Solution-Result I (PSR I)
Hands-on workshop. Create concise, work-related success stories – PSRs. The PSR structure helps you tell your story and increases comprehension by the listener. PSRs improve your résumé, cover letter and interview.

Résumé & Cover Letter
Hands-on workshop. Please bring a current résumé to critique in class. Essential components and purpose of a successful résumé are discussed. Review gaps in employment history, career transitions, and the role of cover letters.

Interview & Salary Negotiation
Role-play workshop. Techniques and strategies for your interview and salary negotiation. Discover successful approaches and practice solutions to difficult questions. Tips for writing thank-you notes and strategies for including benefits in negotiations.

Interview Dress Rehearsal
Hands-on workshop. Must complete all PRN-required workshops to participate in dress rehearsal. Also, bring a résumé and job description. Practice among PRN members in a formal job interview setting. Sessions are videotaped and replayed to enhance constructive feedback.

Problem-Solution-Result II (PSR II)
Hands-on workshop. Please bring 2 or 3 prepared PSRs. Build on your success in PSR I. Focus remains on small-group activities.

Training for Trainers
Hands-on workshop. Learn valuable teacher/facilitator skills so you can lead a workshop. Also: how to set up the projector and laptop, run the copier, and enter attendance data.

Success Groups
Social interaction. Touch base with fellow PRN members – keep job search on track.
Mondays, 9 a.m., (Manteca) PRN office;
Fridays, 9 a.m., (Stockton), Swenson Golf Course coffee shop.
