To the PRN Group,

As a former PRN member 2001 - 2003, I am sending you guys a job lead I just received.
Maybe someone from your group is qualified.

{Key Account Manager position working for PepsiCo They have a couple KAM positions based in the greater Sacramento area, but you have to be commutable to Sacramento to qualify.

The position requires 3-10 years experience in the Food, Beverage, or Consumer Products Industry with experience calling on Retail Stores or Foodservice companies. It's a great opportunity, and they are offering an $80-100,000 base salary plus commission, auto allowance, and Pepsico benefits.)

e-mail me if there is any qualified individuals have any interest.

By the way, does Connie still work there ? She used to be the one we reported to.

Cheers,

Good article. Although it primarily addresses the IT industry some of the points have general applications. I liked the recruiter's perception that more firms these days have a "no jerks, no egos" hiring policy. How do they filter the jerks and egomaniacs, though? I also wondered about the suggested ethical conflict where a candidate applies to a firm both directly and through a recruiter. Mr Sutherland said that shows dishonesty but couldn't it just be someone trying their best to get out there to as many potential employers as possible? How much control do they have about who the recruiters contact? I guess it's an argument for meticulous record keeping in who you apply to.
